PGAクラブメンバーの父を持ち、4才でゴルフを始め、9才で人生初のホールインワンを決めたという経歴の持ち主であるスクイッドミッチェルは､自身もPGA（米国 ）メンバーでゴルフが自分の人生にとって重要な位置を占める事になると少年時代から確信していました。
アリゾナ州立大学を卒業した後、スクイッドはゴルフに対する情熱、そして己の技術をより一層高めるため、世界中を周りました。米国、ニュージーランドではクラブプロ（プロプレーヤー、トーナメントの主催、クラブのマネージメント、ショップのマネージャーなどを兼任する職業）として豊富な経験を積んだ後、日本、韓国、米国、ニュージーランドでプロフェッショナルコーチとして活躍しました。ニュージーランドに移住した2年後の1997年にスクイッドはゴルフを人に教えることの喜び、自分の生徒たちが感じる『感動』に常に触れていたいと感じ、フルタイムゴルフインストラクターとしての道を歩むことを決心しました。フレンドリーで根気強い人柄のスクイッドは世界中で多くの人々に高い技術とゴルフの楽しさを指導してきました。
With his father a respected PGA Club Professional, Squid Mitchell began playing golf at the age of 4 and had his first hole in one by the age of 9. Squid, a Class A Member of the PGA of America, knew then that golf would always be an important part of his life.
Upon graduation from Arizona State University, Squid took his passions for golf and travel out into the world. He has worked professionally as a Club Pro in America and New Zealand and has coached professionally in Japan, South Korea, America, and New Zealand working with several tour professionals, as well as beginners. In 1997, two years after he immigrated to New Zealand, he made the commitment to become a fulltime instructor for this is where he finds golf's greatest rewards. With his international experience, friendly, clear and patient style, Squid has helped to create many happy and skilled golfers throughout the world.
